pulled pork & cornbread benedict w bbq hollandaise | commissary | logan circle

As anticipated, it did not take me long to return to Commissary after my inaugural visit.* As promised, I gave the pulled pork and cornbread benedict (with bbq hollandaise) a try. Because I’ve somewhat irrationally disliked poached/soft eggs, I contemplated asking for scrambled instead of poached eggs. But in the end, I decided to give it a try the way the chef intended, and I’m glad i did! The runny yolk and fluffy egg whites were melded perfectly with the pulled pork and cornbread.

My run buddy A went for the huevos rancheros and everyone’s favorite brunch salad — a bloody (rose)mary!

K was needed protein after our long run and the California Burger looked like it might give Bobby a run for his money:

*Since the pictured visit, I’ve been back to Commissary and gave the Chorizo Hash a try — another great brunch pick!
