I grew up in Ohio, and my first concert was Tim McGraw, so I felt at home at Hill Country‘s downstairs Boot Bar for happy hour last week. I had my first PBR because it was only $2 during happy hour. The other happy hour (3-7 PM, 10 PM-close) specials are $5 rail cocktails, well shots, and margaritas.
The happy hour crew opted to order food at the bar instead of going through the market line, and I went with the BBQ beef sandwich (on the night we were there, they were 3 sliders instead of one sandwich) and a side of the white shoepeg corn pudding. My friend E got the same with the sweet potato bourbon mash as her side. Both of our sides outshined the sliders, but I am looking forward to trying their market BBQ another time.
